We are into week 3 of the second cohort of Mindfulness Meditation trainees. I finished with the class, was a little tired because it requires a lot of concentration on my part. I came out into the dining room to find this sight.
From times gone by I used this meditation stool and then graduated to a real chair. After taking these photos she managed to dismount very elegantly - by falling off.
In typical cat mindful body awareness she managed to recover, yawn and sidle off to inspect the food bowl.
What does this mean in terms of Tai Chi and Mindfulness meditation? Well it means that, we too can be like cats - adapting to the situation, recovering from a lumpy, bumpy and lopsided sitting position into an active and feline person.
When we combine Mindfulness meditation and Mindful movement we have a sleek, and adaptable model of resilience.
